My audio files are delivered as “Download from the internet.” For the past 18 months I’ve used CloudFlare’s free R2 bucket for this with no problems. Now, however, the app gets stuck on the “Audio Download” popup with no progress happening at all. I’ve tested this on an old Samsung A12 running Android 12, on a virtual Pixel 6 Pro (running Android 15 in Android Studio), on a virtual iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.2 in the X Code Simulator, and on an iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 18.3.1.
The strange thing is that I can access individual files from https://audio.btbible.org in my browser with no problems at all, but in the app those same chapters won’t download.
Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I’ve also wondered if the “Download to folder” information is correct in SAB. I’ve just left this with whatever the software filled in when I created a new file source.
Hey Chris, what exactly is involved in sharing my project? Do you mean sending you the download link to the app (https://www.btbible.org has links to the Android and iOS apps)? Or do you mean there’s a way for me to share my actual SAB project files with you?
It would be helpful to have the files for your project. In SAB, right-click on the project name and select “View Project Folder”. On Windows, that will open Windows Explorer to the folder where there is a PROJECT.appDef file and PROJECT_data folder (where PROJECT is the name of your project).
If you could zip up the .appDef and _data folder and upload to Google Drive and then share that with me, it would help in diagnosing your problem.
Thanks @ChrisHubbard! You solved it over email. I did not realize that I could also change the audio file source in the individual book tabs as well. I thought all the audio file source settings were under “Media” > “Audio”. I’ve now fixed the incorrect audio sources that were listed under “Books” > “Dzongkha” > “Genesis”.
