Audio only apps

Has anyone built any audio only apps? No text, apart from the names of the books, that is.

If so, I’d love to see what your app looks like.

Also, one very practical question: when you start building the app, it asks you what image you want to use on the screen while the audio is playing: ‘Image for audio books’. In SAB itself, how do you change that image, without starting from scratch?

To change the image, select the audio book and then go to the “Image” tab.

I was hoping for a global change, for all books…

I see someone’s already sent a sample. I’ve done this with RAB. One comment of note. I created an app based on an Oral Story set, which my guys are in the process of transcribing. As far as I can tell, text can not be added - in RAB - to an Audio-Only book. I’ve had to delete the Audio-Only book and create a completely new book each time they’ve transcribed one of the stories. Not sure if this is the same thing for SAB, but I would imagine it’s very likely.

Thanks for the tip! Yes, I think that’s the case in SAB too. SAB is the same prog but with more features - but not more flexibility, necessarily.

We already have an app with all the text in it too. I wanted one for those who are (functionally?) illiterate.

@David_Gray In SAB 12.2, you can now select multiple audio books, right-click and select “Change Image…”.
