How to Target Android 15 (API level 35) in SAB?

Hi team,

I received a deadline from Google Play saying I need to update my app to target Android 15 (API level 35) by August 31. Here’s part of the message I received:

Your highest non-compliant target API level is Android 14 (API level 34).
To ensure that you can continue to make updates to your app, you must:
• Update your app to target Android 15 (API level 35) or higher.
• Publish a new version of your app to production. Before you do this, you can test your app using internal, closed or open testing.

I checked in SAB, but under “Target Android Platform”, the highest available option is still Android 14 (API 34).

How can I enable or set Android 15 in SAB?
Is there a newer version of SAB or a workaround available?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The message from Google can be a bit confusing. The current version of SAB targets Android 14 – API 34. Your apps already published with that version should be okay until Aug 2026 (next year). If you have any published apps targeting API 33 (or lower), you will need to update all those by the end of August to at least API 34.

However, NEW apps published from August 31st on and any updates to existing apps must target API 35. A new version of SAB (version 13) is due out soon (next couple of weeks) targeting API 35. You will need that version of SAB for any updates or new apps posted to the Play Store. See this link for more info.
