Yes we need some documentation on this.
Under Styles > User Interface Styles tab > Drawer section edit the ui.drawer.item.text and add a font size.

That may be premature tanks. I did not test. That should change it but does not.
While I can adjust the color of the text the size does not change.
When you define your interface language. You can set the font size to be a percentage. If you set that to be 140% the font will be bigger in the menu and everywhere else as well. I think that is what you need.
When the Language is switched to that language the font size changes in the Drawer menu and sub menus.
