I’m writing to bring to your attention my previous requests that are yet to receive the community’s attention. I also have a new vital request that I believe the community can help with.
Previous requests (still pending):
Customizable sharing options: Allow users to share the APK file or Google Play link.
User menu customization: Restore the option to select items in the user menu.
Bible plans usage monitor: Track and reward users’ engagement with Bible plans to encourage users’ engagement with the various Bible apps, leading to spiritual blessings and fulfillment.
These requests are crucial for my scripture apps, which have been developed with the community’s help and are used by thousands of people.
New request:
Search customization: Rather than displaying results from the entire Bible, this enables users to limit displayed search results from:
A specific chapter
A range of chapters
A specific book
A range of books
Either the Old Testament (OT) or New Testament (NT)
This new request is driven by user feedback and will enhance the overall user experience.
I’m grateful for the community’s continued support and assistance in developing and improving my scripture apps. Your help is invaluable in spreading the Word and promoting spiritual growth. I’m praying that these requests receive the attention of the community to encourage the thousands of people using my scripture apps.
Thank you for your attention to these requests. I look forward to the community’s feedback and assistance in bringing these features to life.
Hi @steveaj11
I believe some of your requests should already work in SAB apps.
APK sharing is possible only if an APK was installed on a phone and not an AAB. So if your users receive the app through Google Play, sorry there is no way that they can then share an APK file. BUT if you distribute your app offline too, you could do this through APK files and then you can enable the APK sharing option in SAB. It is under SAB > Navigation > Navigation Drawer > Sharing. That’s also where you can turn on or turn off the option to share the Google Play link.
You can set what options you want the users to see in the app settings. It’s at SAB > Navigation > Navigation Drawer > Settings. Or do you have something else in mind?
Good idea to track Bible plans usage. I haven’t checked yet but perhaps there is a way to see some of this interaction if you use Firebase Analytics in your app. I’m not sure. But I agree, it might be nice to have a system with rewards.
I agree with your request to improve the search feature, I support this request.
In general, I can understand why you might feel that you don’t get a lot of response to your feature requests. Please consider that the app developer team is rather small and they cannot work on all kinds of features at the same time. They set priorities and they also have to spend time to fix bugs. I am sure your requests are seen and noted but unfortunately not all requests get worked on.
@Friedo, from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate your apt response, which has resolved 50% of my issues.
I also thank you for being in support of my request for search enhancement and user engagement with reading plan monitoring. I am optimistic that with your support, these remaining 50% of my requests will soon be addressed.
