I managed somehow to remove the display of the Chapter Number (in drop caps) and also the verse number 1 immediately after each chapter number.
I think I am making a mistake in the styles but on comparison with my other apps where it works allright, I cannot find where I committed this technical crime.
JUST DISCOVERED that the ch.number does display but AFTER the END of the chapter and even then fart below that ast verse when I look at the chapter in my browser after havong exported it to HTML
But the settings for the drop cap are ok, but still the chapter number moves far down on the side of the chapter to the margin. The Chapter Number moved away from its original postion at the start when I was wrestling with various style settings and I think I did something wrong, but do not know what.
