I intend to create an app that has many books with scripture references. Is there a way of hosting these books online and allow in-app downloads using SAB, so that I keep the app within Playstore size limits. I only see the option for downloading audio files, can this be extended to books also?

There are other apps out there that can do this. SAB started from the other end where the app for one language could be tailored to that one language.
I’ll change this to a Feature request. But I am not sure the developers want to go that far.
Other options are My Sword that you can generate modules for, there are tools around to do this. Not sure if the developer makes the sources available. Or Quick Bible that can be built with some text and then download others. The sources are available but you need to write some code.
