There seems to a problem with the dependency requirement of python3-aeneas. Python3 has upgraded to 3.12.3 in 24.04 but the python3-aeneas version requirement is (< 3.11)
python3-aeneas : Depends: python3 (< 3.11) but 3.12.3-0ubuntu2 is to be installed

SAB is not available in noble on packages.sil.org, so I am trying to install the previous version from jammy. This is what is causing the library dependency problems.
We are moving to Flatpak for Ubuntu 24.04 Noble and above. And we will finally be able to support other distributions! I will still publish Ubuntu 20.04 Focal and 22.04 Jammy for a little while to packages.sil.org. But I would like to completely move to Flatpak in the future.
As for the status of Flatpak, we had an intern working on the packaging this past summer.
I was able to start the submission process on Frida. After many rounds of changes with the maintainers, the packaging has been accepted by FlatHub. I hope it will be available soon. I expect that I will make an announcement with SAB 12.2.

Thanks for all the work you do and I know Linux is only a minimal supported platform. I also thank the intern who worked on creating the FlatPak versions, they will be a great help.
Looking forward to SAB 12.2!
