In our current app we have one single Tibetan font for the entire New Testament, 8 old Testament books in addition to Songs of Praise and Videos etc. I now have the latinization of our text for every book and section on our app. I saw a colleague of mine have in his app 3 different scripts which could be toggled by clicking on the right side of the phone and it changes everything which is visible to the new script. I need to know how to now set up my current app to incorporate an additional script and toggle between them like my colleague.
Is your friend’s app built with Scripture App Builder? In SAB the only way to do this is have a different collection and switch between collections.
It would be nice for many of us who have multiple scripts to be able to have a button to quickly switch between scripts and use different collections just for different Bibles.
I’m building one now and it is using the different collections. One collection we are using a phonetic spelling system using the Tibetan script the other is a latin script. The Scripture is the same using TECkit to convert it. The Audio recording will link with both. I hope after finishing the latin version I will get on to a more classical spelling Tibetan form. So God willing 3 different collections meeting the needs of 3 different communities (monks, average person, and those who aren’t fluent in the Tibetan script).
