With Android 11 dark theme turned on, the SAB verse of the day notification doesn’t show any text. I’m assuming the text is there but is probably black on black. Interestingly, the SAB Daily reminder notification text is visible as white text on black. I set the app to have a black background so the text is white in the app, but that didn’t make a difference in the verse of the day notification. See screenshot.

I found a work-around. Select “use the system font” in the daily verse settings in the latest release of SAB. This will make your font white to compensate for the dark theme. Hope it works out for you and anyone else seeing this a few years later
