Is it possible to add a video library accessible from the apps internal menu? Or perhaps add a video library that can be built out in the Contents menu section
We have links to dubbed videos we uploaded to Youtube and others we have done in Northern Thai on the Main Menu, and also as a appended book, along with the Reading plan, and glossary. We also have Lumo Gospel film clips in the text of each gospel. Below is what they look like.
The main drawback is that Youtube has ads, that often have to show for a few seconds, then the user presses “Skip”. If you have a Vimeo account or other online Video site you can upload videos and play from there, that may work better. Video files are usually too large to include in the app itself, so they almost always are linked to play by streaming from the internet.
Let people know about your videos by posting short 30-120 second clips on a facebook page about the language you work with, or create a webpage where you have thumbnails to all the videos for easy access. Here’s an example -RG
