SAB 9.0.1 Mac - adding Audio files

When I add audio files I get a message:

CONVERT VARIABLE BITRATE FILES

Can anyone tell men what this message means?

I was rather bummed to discover that fine-tunings performed on variable bit-rate (VBR) do not actually align with the true timings. But this did explain why Aeneas seemed to get further and further off-track the longer my recording went. Aeneas actually generated much better timings than I realized, but because my MP3 used VBR, it seemed to go significantly off track by the end, advancing the highlighting too slowly. This was the case everywhere: in Export to HTML, in the Fine Tuning tool, and …

Upon recommendation from the community, we have disabled variable bitrate files. You will need to output your MP3 files as constant bitrate.

Thank you Chris … but do I understand well enough if I say that in my case - where I do NOT use timing files - it does not matter whether I use VBR or CNR?

Now we are discussing this, allow me to tackle an item we discussed in the past … the footnotes that jumped above the ceiling of the monitor or smartphone screen. Maybe you remember. At that tiem you offered to look at it to see if you could solve it, but it was not clear for me whether you were really able to look at it or not. Can you tell me the status?
