Hebrew Bible as a parallel version

Hi,

If one is interested in having the Hebrew Bible as a parallel/secondary version in SAB, where does one get the Hebrew text? Can the text from OpenScriptures.org be used? What would be the steps?

Thanks,
Bayar

You can use http://freely-given.org/ to convert it to USFM or USX. It has no paragraph markup so may need to add that for each chapter.

There doesn’t seem to be any Hebrew or Greek text on the freely-given website. The home page says it is just a shell and may never be fully developed.

Hello,

I knew someone in the field that had a Hebrew app. So I contacted them and found out that they were using the Westminster Leningrad Codex. With a little searching, I found that it is available at eBible.org:

http://ebible.org/find/details.php?id=hboWLC&all=1

There is also the Hebrew Masoretic text at eBible.org:

http://ebible.org/find/details.php?id=hbo&all=1

On trip about the eBible.org website, you have to click on the “Show formats for developers” or “- - -” text (which adds “&all=1” to the url) to get the USFM option to show.

Thanks,
Chris
